'Tache Mani

I moustache you a question...do you like my mani?!

How cute are these moustache nail transfers! I bought a pack of them from eBay months ago and I've finally gotten round to using them - they were something like £2 for about 40! They're pretty fiddly but once you get the hang it's ok...they come with instructions but a little tip...when you cut the transfer out, cut as close to the design as possible, or you can end up with plastic film hanging off your nail which can look a bit messy and you might get air bubbles.

All you need: a coloured polish, clear polish, transfers, small bowl of water, tweezers and small sewing/nail scissors.

I put them over Models Own Utopia, a creamy lilac colour :) I can't the exact transfers i bought, but just type 'moustache nails' or 'nail transfers' into eBay and you'll find them!

Just a quick post today, hope you are all enjoying the lovely sunshine and had a great bank holiday weekend!

Summer statement necklaces

Summer statement necklaces

(Click on the small thumbnail image for a direct link!)

I seriously can't get enough statement necklaces, from chunky tribal to simple and girlie, i absolute love them all. Statement chokers were a big thing for AW and the trend seems to have carried over with hits of turquoise and a mixture of textures. Zara seems to have the best range i think.

With all the glorious weather we've been having lately I just want to jet off to somewhere beautiful, with a suitcase of gorgeous bikinis and simple bohemian white cotton dresses and layer these bad boys up (with a tan of course!)...

Beauty bits - La Roche-Posay, Soap & Glory, Botanics

Wahoo, finally a beauty related post! Feels like I haven't done one in a long time :)

I received some lovely beauty bits for my birthday which was about two months ago, and now I feel like I've been using them for long enough to write a bit about them.

Soap & Glory's Peaches and Clean // Boots Botanics Cleansing Balm // La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo

I would normally do a post for each product but as none of these are particularly new to the market and I'm sure you've read enough reviews on each of them I will try to keep it brief ;)

Peaches and Clean

Aside from Hand Food, this is the first 'proper' products I've tried from Soap & Glory, and I must say I'm impressed. It smells so yummy, leaves my skin feeling really fresh and clean and is lovely to use morning and evening. I've used it as a make-up remover, massaging it straight onto a made-up face and it actually worked really well, i was surprised - I had to cleanse twice to remove eye make-up but that is usually to be expected! But my favourite way of using this product is in the shower every morning to freshen up and cleanse my skin while leaving a lovely scent at the same time :)

Botanics Cleansing Balm

Ohhhhmygod I love this product! I think it's only about £7 or £8, and it's such a blimmin' bargain! I love using this product on a Sunday night or just an evening where I want to relax - take the time to melt and massage the balm into my skin and leave it on for a while, then use the hot cloth to cleanse it off. It's so effective at removing make up, and makes my skin feel amazing. It leaves a slight moisturised layer over the skin, some people don't like that feeling but I quite like it if I'm just about to go to bed. I can't recommend this products enough, and I also quite often see it on offer in Boots with a few £££s off, I will definitely be repurchasing this!

Effaclar Duo

This product, or this brand as a whole, seems to have gone from nothing to suddenly being everywhere, almost reaching 'cult' status if you will. After reading a hundred and one reviews about the Effaclar Duo i was so pleased to be able to try it for myself - and it didn't disappoint! It took it's time to work and for me to start liking it - I think it might have made my skin worse before it got better, and I've read a few reviews where it has broken other people out too. But i pursued and ended up really liking it. I typically get more clogged skin around my nose and chin (gross I know, sorry! Just being honest!) and i've noticed a signifcant reduction of outbreaks and clogged pores around these areas. I just wish a tube lasted longer and wasn't so expensive! I have found however that a little does go a long way. The only criticism i have with this product is it doesn't leave my skin feeling all that moisturised - it takes away any tightness or dryness before applying makeup, but doesn't have that thick, creamy texture that leaves me skin feeling really soft like other moisturisers do. I guess that is just personal preference! Overall this product is fab but unless it is on offer, I'm not sure my student budget will allow me to keep repurchasing it...

P.S. Sorry about the pictures, I took them at my desk at Uni so the background is way too cluttered but it's the only place with decent light in pretty much my whole house! Better ones next time ;)

Shoe lust: Charlotte Olympia 'Cosmic Collection'

Holy Moley, check these out.

Queen of the cute and quirky, Charlotte Olympia's Cosmic Collection is currently top of my shoe lust list.

Shoes and a matching clutch, one for each star sign, with the most gorgeous embellishments and in pretty pastel and vibrant jewel colours.

Here's my favourite ones...

I'm a Pisces, so I LOVE these!

The detailing and finish on all the items is beautiful, but at £495 for the shoes and £695 for the clutch (oh, the clutch!), these will have to remain firmly at the top of my lust list.

Which starsign are you? What do you think of the collection?

Check it out here.
